Playfair Display
Playfair Display was designed by Claus Eggers Sørensen and released in 2011. It draws on the high-contrast tradition of the late eighteenth century, referencing the work of Caslon and Baskerville's contemporaries. Its strong stroke contrast and generous proportions suit large display sizes well — headings, pull quotes, and editorial titles rather than running text. Five weights are available with a matching italic throughout.
