Pixelify Sans

Pixelify Sans was designed by Christophe Beyls and released in 2022 as a contemporary sans-serif constructed on a pixel grid while remaining legible and proportioned beyond the strict 8-bit bitmap aesthetic. Unlike classic pixel faces that reference a specific screen resolution or video game hardware, Pixelify Sans uses the pixel-grid constraint as a design discipline rather than a historical quotation: the result reads as a modern geometric sans with pixel construction visible in the letterforms rather than as a retro novelty. Four weights from Regular to Bold are available with variable font support, covering Latin, Latin-extended, and Cyrillic. There is no italic. The design holds at medium display sizes and in UI contexts where pixel-grid character is wanted without the narrowness of monospaced pixel fonts.
