Noto Serif Display

Noto Serif Display is part of the Noto type system developed by Google to provide cohesive multilingual coverage. Where Noto Serif is designed for continuous text use, this display cut is tuned for large-scale settings: higher contrast between thick and thin strokes, tighter spacing, and more refined detail that becomes visible at headline sizes. The design covers Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic scripts with consistent metrics across all three. Nine weights and italic counterparts are available through Fontsource. The Noto system's primary goal is glyph completeness across the Unicode range; Noto Serif Display trades some of that utility for optical suitability at large sizes.
