Libre Baskerville

Libre Baskerville was designed by Pablo Impallari and Rodrigo Fuenzalida as an open-source revival of the Baskerville transitional model. John Baskerville's eighteenth-century designs are known for increased stroke contrast and refined proportions compared to earlier old-style types; this revival adapts those qualities for screen rendering at body text sizes. The result reads with a print-like formality uncommon in web-first serifs.
