Inconsolata

Inconsolata was designed by Raph Levien and released in 2006 as one of the first high-quality open-source monospaced typefaces intended for on-screen use. It is narrower than many coding fonts, fitting more columns on screen without resorting to small point sizes. The design draws on traditional roman punchcut proportions rather than typewriter mechanics, giving it a quieter overall texture. No italic is available on Fontsource; the family ships as upright weights only.
