Geist was designed by Basement Studio for Vercel and released in 2023 as an open-source type family. It is a neo-grotesque sans-serif intended for UI, developer tooling, and documentation. The design prioritises even colour on screen and consistency across the full weight range. No italic is available on Fontsource; the family ships as upright weights only.
